Rediscover the Joy of Calontir’s Kris Kinder
Every December, Calontir’s Kris Kinder transforms a mundane gym into a medieval holiday market. This fun event blends shopping, socializing, and celebration for the heart of Calontir people. The Barony of Forgotten Sea hosts the event, one of the largest of its kind. And this year, a whopping 540 Calontiri attended it.

Kris Kinder happens before everyone celebrates their holidays at their own hearth. And with the huge attendance, there was plenty of opportunity to connect with someone who shares your interests, too.

But what made this 2024’s Kris Kinder stand out to so many? Let me show you the ways!

For many it was probably its shopping wonderland, an event hall filled with artisans, merchants, and vendors. They offered everything from handcrafted jewelry to bound books to unique treasures. Things that you don’t find anywhere else. Whether you were hunting for holiday gifts or shopping to treat yourself, it was impossible to leave empty-handed.

For me it’s the perfect opportunity to snap some photos without the weather ruining my photo-worthy moments!

Unlike our many camping events that have us braving the elements, Kris Kinder is blissfully, comfortably indoors. No extreme heat, frostbitten toes, or wet garb here—just chatter-filled warm rooms buzzing alive with joy.

For many, Kris Kinder is about the people, not the shopping. If you’re like me, it’s the perfect time to catch up with long-time friends. People who came from all corners of the kingdom and beyond to share the joys of friendship. And many who received prestigious honors.

And Kris Kinder wouldn’t be complete without its court pageantry. This year, His Majesty Robert gathered us together to bestow awards and celebrate the achievements of Calontir’s finest. The cheers, huzzahs, and fluttering pinons created a wondrous atmosphere. This was truly a court of recognition and joy.

Kris Kinder’s day-long cheerful atmosphere was exciting. It was an incredible experience again this year. A day that captured the season in true Calontir style.

For those who joined me this year, you know just how special it was. You know where I captured the visual movements I shared with you here. And for those who couldn’t make it, mark your calendar now for next December’s second Saturday. I look forward to chatting with you then.
