Calontir’s Clothiers also provided beginner-friendly classes where you could learn the basics and gradually build your skills. But that’s not all! Even if sewing isn’t your cup of tea, there’s a wealth of knowledge to soak up about historical clothing. You might even find someone who can help you create the historical outfit of your dreams.

So, whether you wanted to develop a new skill, deepen your understanding of historical fashion, or simply be part of a community that shares your passion for the past, Calontir’s Clothiers was the place to be. The bustling Clothiers event kicked off with a court in the morning.

Feeling a little unsure about which era tugs at your heartstrings? No worries! The event offered a splendid chance to explore the fashions of various places and times from the elegance of Renaissance Italy to the boldness of Viking Scandinavia.

After court, you could take a few classes or hang out in one of two large common rooms. Or you might partake of a yummy lunch at the Clothiers’ Inn. And then there was the fascinating fashion show “A Walk Through History.” The possibilities were endless!

And that’s a wrap on a fabulous day! After a whirlwind of courts, classes, and a stunning fashion show, we found ourselves diving into even more classes and catching up with friends. It was non-stop excitement!

As the day drew to a close, another court session was on the agenda, but my apprentice Astrid and I had other plans. Craving something different, we headed out for a cozy dinner at the local Red Lobster – a perfect way to wind down. The chatter and laughter continued as we reconnected with other friends back at the motel.

By the end of it all, we were pleasantly tired, full of great memories (and great food!), and ready to pack up for our journey home the next day. What an incredible experience it was!
