Reconnect & Explore: Welcome Back to An Itinerant Scribe!

Hey there, lovely readers of Itinerant Scribe!

It feels incredible to be back and reconnect with all of you after what seems like an eternity. As we slowly emerge from the pandemic shadows, I can’t help but feel this is the perfect time to embark on a brand new chapter together.

So, in this first post after our little break, I’m bursting with excitement and a renewed passion for all things creative, curious, and the wonderful world of the SCA.

Oh, the past few years have been quite a ride, haven’t they? Our beloved SCA temporarily closing its doors to in-person activities was quite the twist. But you know what? It gave us a unique opportunity to take a step back, reflect, and either refresh our garb, armor, and artistic skills or take a breather.

I’ve now had the chance to reconnect with my dear friends from Lonely Tower, engaging in delightful discussions about heraldry, weaving, and the intricacies of armor. And let me tell you, meeting fellow enthusiasts like you at Calontir events, and seeing your incredible creations, has been absolutely inspiring!

Speaking of inspiration, it has reignited my passion for scribal arts as well. I’m diving back into the scribal world, finding new ways to adapt and grow in this creative journey. But you know what truly brings me joy? Reconnecting with all of you, my wonderful readers. I’ve missed you, and I can’t wait to share this vibrant community once again.

Now, here’s the thing—I’ve gone through a bit of a change myself. No biggie, really. My fingers may not possess the delicate touch needed for fine craft creations, but my love for wordsmithing art remains strong.

So, these days, I’m focusing more on SCA service and crafting texts for the incoming Baron and Baroness. We’re even planning to restart our local Scriptorium group, where we can gather, discuss, and coordinate all things scribal.

But you know what else? I’m eager to expand my connections, not just within the Kingdom of Calontir, but beyond its borders as well. Blogging gives me the chance to reach out to enthusiasts like you from all around the world—fellow recreation adventurers who love exploring, photographing, and researching reenactments.

Together, we can delve into the captivating realm of scribal arts, persona research, and the enigmatic world of scribes everywhere. And that, my friends, is why I’ve rejuvenated An Itinerant Scribe—to communicate and connect with you, to share our stories and experiences.

And here’s something exciting—I want this blog to be a space where you can leave your own mark too. An Itinerant Scribe isn’t just about me—it’s about all of us, our collective passion for creativity, discovery, and self-expression.

So, I wholeheartedly invite you to join me on this revitalized blog journey. Share your own experiences, ideas, and suggestions for what you’d love to see here in the future. Let’s make this a vibrant, interactive community of like-minded souls.

Before I wrap up, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the readers who have supported me and patiently awaited my return. Your encouragement means the world to me. With this renewed commitment, I aim to bring you informative, inspiring posts that ignite the spark of creative discovery within you.

Together, let’s embrace the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

So, my dear readers, let’s embark on this joyful adventure together! Welcome back to An Itinerant Scribe—I can’t wait to see where our journey takes us.
