The Great Photo Credit Moment of 2025
“Gladly wolde he lerne and gladly teche.”
— Canterbury Tales, Prologue
Every once in a while, writing a simple blog post takes me somewhere unexpected.
This week, it happened over something as harmless as photos of trees and palms. I was working on my post about the plants at Oakview Mall. Suddenly, I wondered if I took that picture myself or if a friend gave it to me.
“Was that from this week? Last week? Or was I just admiring it on my phone at some point?”

You’d think I was preparing documentation for Kingdom A&S Champioship instead of writing about the plant family. But that’s how my brain works sometimes — I like things to be clear and correct.
I paused and took a look at my images. I reviewed my notes. Then, I decided to add a simple explanation on my “Welcome Page.” I also included a description on the “About Me” section that pops up with each post. These sections explain how I use photos and artificial intelligence (AI) on my blog. I also added individual photo credits where they made sense.

It felt good to take a moment, tidy things up, and move on.
The truth is, blogging is always a mix of learning, adjusting, and enjoying the process. That’s why I love it. Some days I’m researching manuscript workshops in 15th-century Bruges. Other days I’m trying to figure out whether a photo came from my camera roll. It could also be from a friend who kindly shared it with me.
Either way, I’m still having fun.
Everything’s clearly credited and up to modern blogging standards now. I can return to writing about the things I enjoy. These include plants, history, Qigong, and the SCA. I am also open to anything else that captures my itinerant curiosity.
Thank you for being here as I explore everything from medieval workshops to mall-side palm trees. Your support makes this blog a joy to write.
