Crafty Commitments: Work In Progress Wednesday Begins!
Do you ever find yourself with all the time in the world to work on something, but somehow can’t seem to get started? That’s been my struggle lately—I have so many ideas and plans, but actually getting off the couch to do them? That’s another story.
Recently, though, I stumbled upon a brilliant idea from a fellow blogger: “Work In Progress Wednesday”. The concept is simple yet genius—I commit to sharing something about my current craft project every Wednesday. It doesn’t have to be finished or perfect; I just need to have made some progress, big or small. It could be starting a new project, finishing one up, or even just tweaking something in between.
Right now, I’ve got three projects in the works. There’s a basket I started back in March that’s been patiently waiting for my attention. Then there’s an award preprint that I began during last Sunday’s Lonely Tower Scribes’ Scriptorium—a work in its early stages but full of promise. And let’s not forget the fibulae that Baroness Kathleen has asked me to make more of—definitely a labor of love.

I’m hoping that by committing to Work In Progress Wednesday, I’ll not only kickstart my projects but also kick the habit of couch potato-ing. It’s all about taking that first step, right? So, here’s to progress, creativity, and getting things done—one Wednesday at a time.
I’m excited to embark on this journey of progress with you all. And hey, if you’re reading this and have a project (or two, or three) that’s been gathering dust for a while, why not join me? Share your own works in progress in the comments or on social media—let’s inspire each other to finally tackle those creative endeavors that have been waiting in the wings. Together, we can turn “someday” into today. Cheers to stepping up and making things happen!
