Work in Progress Wednesday: Celebrating Small Scroll Wins
The greatest among us truly believe they are a work in progress forever, and they are entitled to nothing, and better than no one.” ~ Matt Higgins
Welcome to my first “Work in Progress Wednesday” post! I’m excited to share that I finished my very first full preprint award scroll just in time for Calontir’s 2024 summer Coronation event. This may seem like a small step, but it means a lot to me. Not only did I get to revisit the art of scroll painting, but I also learned a lot about what I can achieve despite dealing with intermittent hand neuropathy and limited vision time. But hey, I did it!

I enjoyed painting so much that I’m already planning my next projects. My goal is to unearth a blank border scroll I started before my last full scroll. However, first things first—I need to complete the fibulae for Baroness Kathleen. That’s my next task.
I’d love to hear from you all! Do you have a work in progress you’d like to share? Whether it’s a new scroll, a piece of garb, or any other creative project, I’d be thrilled to learn what you’re working on. Share your progress and let’s inspire each other!
Nice❤️
Thank you. I hope to get back to more detailed illustrations again.
I am a work in progress
Good for you! We all should be life-long learners.
